Turning cooler, storms possible late week

Good evening,
Don't get used to the 80 degree weather we enjoyed today, because the same cold front that brought the rain Sunday will bring much cooler temperatures to Georgia-Carolina through midweek. The average high for today is 73 with a low around 44, but highs will struggle into the lower 70s Tuesday with lows possibly dipping into the upper 30s in cooler locations Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. This cooldown will not last long with temperatures returning to above average levels Wednesday afternoon into Thursday ahead of the next storm system. We are entering into the heart of severe weather season here in the Southeast, and our first legitimate shot at severe weather may be coming sometime between late Thursday and early Friday. I don't see this necessarily being an outbreak of severe storms, but given what time of year it is and the fact we are still three full days away, you will want to stay weather aware over the next few days (Of course, I always think you should, but I MAY be a little biased). The weekend? Don't you worry about the weekend, unless you are cold natured. Plenty of sunshine can be expected Saturday and Sunday, but temperatures will be a few degrees below average with highs in the lower 70s and lows dipping to around 40 degrees Saturday night. Here's your forecast for the Augusta area for the next couple of days:
Monday night - Clear and cool. Low in the lower 40s. North wind 3 to 8 mph. Tuesday - Sunny and cooler. High in the lower 70s. Northeast wind 6 to 11 mph. Tuesday night - Clear and cool. Low in the upper 30s to lower 40s. East to northeast wind 1 to 5 mph. Wednesday - Sun and clouds mixed. Breezy and warmer. High in the middle 70s. Southeast wind 7 to 12 mph.
